ITINERARY
AUSANGATE TREK 2 DAYS ITINERARY
Day 1: Cusco – Tinqui – Upis
Our journey will begin promptly at 6 am, as we depart in a private van and drive for approximately 3 hours to reach the trailhead located at the base of the magnificent Ausangate Mountain. Our starting point will be Upispampa, and you will trek through several remote villages, crossing numerous streams until you arrive at the charming town of Upis. We have arranged comfortable cabins for you to spend the night, and our chef will prepare a delicious lunch to satisfy your hunger. After lunch, you can opt to hike to Upis Lake, which takes about 2 hours round trip, or take a refreshing dip in the hot springs. As night descends, you can marvel at the awe-inspiring starry sky, an experience that will stay with you forever.

Day 02: Upis – 7 Lakes – Pacchanta – Cusco
We will wake you up with an early morning call at 5 am and bring a steaming cup of coca tea or coffee to your cabin to revitalize you for the day ahead. Following a delectable breakfast, we will embark on a stunning hike to explore the breathtaking 7 lakes of Ausangate. En route, you will have an awe-inspiring view of the majestic Ausangate mountain from a fresh perspective. This will be your final opportunity to appreciate this snow-capped peak up close. Our ultimate destination is the Pacchanta hot springs, where we can bask in the revitalizing waters while gazing at the incredible vistas of Ausangate mountain in the background. After our last meal together, we will bid farewell to our horseman and chef and make our way back to Cusco. You can expect to arrive at your hotel around 5 pm.

- Please be aware that although we have a planned itinerary for the Ausangate Trek 2-day hike, it is subject to change due to local conditions such as strikes or natural disasters.
- It is important to note that the altitude on this hike reaches 5040m (16,400ft) above sea level, and it is recommended that you consult with your doctor if you have any medical conditions or are taking any medication. The cold temperature at this altitude can be extreme, so bring warm clothing if you plan to take a multi-day tour. You will be spending the night in our cozy cabins.
- If you experience altitude sickness, please descend as soon as possible as it can be dangerous. Our knowledgeable guide always carries oxygen tanks which are crucial at elevations over 4850m (15,912ft). Not all tour operators offer this service, so be sure to choose one that does. We highly recommend that you acclimate to the altitude in Cusco before starting the hike. Spending at least 3 days in Cusco prior to the hike is the best way to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip.

The Outstanding balance can be made in cash one day earlier your trip in USD or soles or if you prefer PayPal at least one week prior to your trip(7% service fee applies). Also, you can pay us with Credit card only Visa(5% service fee applies). Please let us know what you prefer. Cash payment MUST be paid 1 day prior your trip.

DO I NEED TO BRING MY ORIGINAL PASSPORT ON THE AUSANGATE TREK 2 DAYS?
It is not mandatory to bring your Passport.
CAN I STAY IN THE SACRED VALLEY FOR MY AUSANGATE TREK 2 DAYS?
Not recommended, because our Ausangate tour groups leave from Cusco. If you stay in sacred we will pick you up 1 hour early than cusco and there will be an upgrade of $30 for the transport from the sacred valley.
